Today I collected my final prints for my colour and shape project. This was a study of how colour and shape make up photographs in the landscape, with a comparison between urban and rural. The final twelve images were printed on Fuji Chrystal Archive gloss paper at 12×16 (nearly A3 size). I chose to include a fairly thick white border to act as ‘breathing space’ for the eye as a full-bleed print would have been too intense at this size. I chose glossy paper as opposed to lustre because the gloss sheen helps to boost the vivid colours far better whereas lustre would flatten the colours and textures. I am very pleased with the colour reproduction and the final outcome!
