Well, Spring definitely seems to have hit Cornwall today, reaching 15 degrees! But I am merely enjoying it from the view from my bedroom window! I am currently busy working to deadlines which are only days away now! After the Easter break I have been continuing work on my last SDA project of the year which is an exploration of shape, colour, tone, texture, etc. They are the fundamentals of photography and what make up each image. It is a wide area to explore which is why I’ve been doing it for over two months so far. I am now at the stage of deciding how I want to present my final twelve images.
As well as this, I have been doing a lot of research for my dissertation proposal which I am basing on the picturesque in the landscape. As landscape is my most favourite aspect of photography I knew it would be wise to explore that area. More specifically the picturesque, asking myself questions like why do we choose to display landscape paintings/ photographs indoors and do we gain a physical experience when viewing a picturesque photograph? What makes it?
Here are some images from my final set for SDA 3:
